A Positive Week for Atherley as Teams Continue Their League Campaigns
It has been another busy week for Atherley Bowls & Social Club, with our teams competing across several Southampton & District leagues. There were some excellent performances, important victories, and plenty of determination shown by everyone representing the club.
Combination Fours Start the Week with a Strong Away Victory
Tuesday evening saw our Combination Fours team travel to Banister Park. Atherley produced a superb performance to secure a 5–1 points victory, winning on shots by 51–33.
The team settled quickly and maintained control throughout the match, building a comfortable advantage and bringing home valuable league points.

Mixed Triples Continue Winning Form
On Wednesday, our Mixed Triples team travelled to Meon Valley and came away with another excellent result.
In a closely contested match, Atherley edged ahead when it mattered most, securing a 3–1 victory and winning the overall shot count 35–31.

Busy Thursday Across Three Competitions
Thursday brought action across three different leagues.
Ladies Travel to Romsey
Our Ladies team faced a difficult away fixture against a strong Romsey side. Despite battling hard throughout the afternoon, Romsey proved too strong on the day.

Atherley Ladies 0 (29 shots)
Championship Team Impress at Home
The Men’s Championship Division 1 side delivered one of the performances of the week, defeating Southampton Sports Centre 5–1.
Atherley built a strong lead and maintained their advantage throughout the match to record a convincing 54–42 shot victory.

Tough Evening at Waterside
Our Combination Triples team travelled to Waterside for a challenging away fixture. Despite a determined effort, Waterside came out on top.
