How to Join

The Atherley is a private members club and as such is governed by a set of rules which apply to all members.

These rules state that any new member must be proposed and seconded by existing members - this is fine if you are known by existing members but not helpful if you don't know anyone and wish to take up the sport.

Whilst the club is not prepared to remove this requirement it is also very conscious of the need to make our facilities available to those who genuinely wish to take up the sport.

In these situations any prospective member is asked to contact the club and arrange a meeting in order that they may firstly be shown around the club but importantly to discover what they want from the club and ensure that these desires fits within the abilities of the club.

Such meetings are always very informal and represent an opportunity for each party to get to know the other.
