FM2 Mortgage Consultants - www.flexiblemoneymanagement.co.uk Atherley Tour to California1st April 2006 saw 43 members of Atherley depart for a 15 day tour of California. The tour was based at Anaheim in Los Angeles and we were scheduled to play 6 games. On the first Monday we all set off in our coach for Santa Barbara but the further we got north the darker the sky became - then drizzle - then rain - by the time we arrived at the club it was a downpour. We soon realised we were not going to get a game but the club entertained us well and we had a great time. Roger being the only person to bowl! ![]()
The following games at San Diego, Holmby Park (Beverley Hills), Laguna Beech, Newport Harbour and Long Beach were all played in lovely weather. The reception at all the clubs was magnificent and we all returned to the UK left with some reluctance but fantastic memories.
